Bokarina Beach: A Local’s Secret on the Sunshine Coast

Fabulous spot for dog-walking and surfing near Kawana

Bokarina Beach Visitor Guide

Nestled in between Warana Beach to the north and Wurtulla Beach to the south is one of the most popular dog-friendly beaches on the entire Sunshine Coast – Bokarina Beach.

Accessed from beach entry points 239 to 245, it is part of the 9 km long stretch of golden sand that starts off at Point Cartwright and goes all the way towards Currimundi Lake.

While it is popular with dog mums and dads who are permitted to let their furry friend run off-leash at any time, this beach is also a decent spot for surfing as conditions can often be a bit whippy.

Despite this, it is largely off the tourist radar, which means you get to enjoy this idyllic coastal setting free from the crowds.
